The Adams' Gallery
These 10 specimens are probably from South America and represent a series that was collected in the late 1970's. I am really having a tough time with the identifications. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. If you have an id to suggest, please click on the link below the specimen.

Dr. James K. Adams of the Department of Natural Science and Math at Dalton State College in Georgia, suggests that some of these specimens are actually in Family Ithomidae, with a few in the Genus Mechanitis.

We appreciate that identification from a web photo of a lateral view will be of a highly speculative nature - however, any refinements over Speciosa speciosa are welcomed.

We apologize for the poor quality of the photography but these photos have been taken of the specimens as they were preserved in triangles over 20 years ago. We will post the Dorsal and Ventral shots after the specimens have been relaxed and mounted.
