The construction of the Moth Light Rig

Page 3 -- The Frame

1

Locate the two 10' 1" diameter sections of PVC pipe.

2

Cut each pipe into a 6 foot section.

3

Cut two additional lengths that are 6 inches taller than the length of the 1.25" diameter PVC that you used in Part 1 - the Buckets.

4

Take one of the 1" to 1" straight joiners and glue it onto one end of each of the two shorter sections. These are your leg extenders.

5

Take a 1" to 1" Tee shaped joiner and glue it onto one end of each of the two 6' legs

6

Set all of these aside to dry. Remember this cement is highly toxic so use it outdoors or in a well ventilated area.

7

Take the remaining section of 1" PVC pipe and cut it to 5' in length. This will be the crossbar.

8

Locate the two 1/2" by 5' long sections of PVC Pipe. Glue an endcap onto one end of each. These are your sheet end weights.

9

Fill with sand or dry soil, and when full glue the other endcap in place.

10

Set all of these glued leg pieces aside to dry for at least 1 - 2 hours.
